IBSA revisited in Instant Memories

There are places that, more than others, reflect the growth of a company over time.

For its double anniversary –  80 years since the establishment of the IBSA name and 40 years of Arturo Licenziati’s leadership —IBSA has chosen to start from here, from the places that have marked its evolution, to show how it has expanded its industrial presence, its facilities, and its way of working.

This journey has enabled IBSA to become an international company, capable of growing its facilities, processes, and skills to develop drugs in the best form. This is the perspective behind Instant Memories, a section published in 2025 on the IBSA Group's social media channels (LinkedIn and Instagram), which explores the company's symbolic places through historical and present-day photos.

PLACES CHANGE, VALUES REMAIN

IBSA Headquarters in Lugano, the focal point of the company's strategy and the starting point for all its projects, inaugurated this section.

Buildings such as cosmos highlight a constant feature in IBSA's new facilities: the desire to combine technology, efficiency, and sustainability, recognising the active role of architectural design in improving the working experience.

At the entrance of cosmos, the main staircase completes this narrative: an architectural element that combines functionality and beauty, expressing the verticality of production activities and attention to the quality of workspaces.

The underground tunnel connecting the headquarters storage facility with cosmos is also part of this logic. It is an innovative solution that reduces traffic and emissions, optimizing goods transport and making logistics flow management more efficient and sustainable.

The Instant Memories section also documented the evolution of genesis, one of the buildings in the CorPharma district, a cutting-edge workspace in line with the philosophy of well-being.

In addition, the section dedicated to Casa Carlo Cattaneo, now the headquarters of the IBSA Foundation for scientific research, highlights another side of IBSA: its cultural and educational dimension, which integrates science, art, and community in a place rich in history.

Lastly, Lodi facility reflects the evolution that took place in the early 2000s, with significant investments in technology and production capacity, which enabled IBSA to expand and diversify its product portfolio.

THE POWER OF MEMORY

Together, these places provide a coherent picture of IBSA's evolution: a company that has grown, become more sustainable, invested in research, and dedicated itself to culture.

During these forty years of history, everything has always come from Arturo Licenziati, President and CEO of IBSA.

All these transformations originated from his vision: forward-looking investments, attention to quality, and the belief that every place, every choice, and every innovation must contribute to the Group's growth without losing its identity.
