IBSA expands it's presence in Vietnam with solutions in the osteoarticular area

Vietnam is one of the countries with the fastest ageing population in the world. Some estimates indicate that by 2050, one in four Vietnamese will be over 60 years old.1

This dynamic implies social and economic challenges for the healthcare system, including in the osteoarticular area. Conditions such as osteoarthritis and degenerative changes, which compromise mobility and independence, will become increasingly common.

Given this scenario, in addition to products already established in other therapeutic areas such as reproductive medicine, uro-gynaecology and aesthetic medicine, in December 2025 IBSA has officially launched in Vietnam several solutions for the osteoarticular area through its partner Lloyd.

SPECIALISTIC TRAINING AND SCIENTIFIC DISCUSSION

IBSA has always been committed to developing solutions to meet the needs of patients at different stages of disease progression: from oral solutions to intra-articular injections based on hyaluronic acid, aimed at restoring the adequate concentration of essential components for tissue health.

To accompany the launch of the new products, IBSA has set up a support programme dedicated to Vietnamese clinicians and healthcare professionals.

Osteoarticular in Vietnam

In November, the 360 Infiltration Experience was held, a training programme focused on the treatment of osteoarthritis and articular pain. This event brought together 20 orthopaedic surgeons, rheumatologists and various members of the Lloyd team, who visited the IBSA production sites in Lugano and Lodi, with practical sessions on infiltrations. The 360 Infiltration Experience provided an in-depth look at the production process and correct application techniques, with the aim of transferring skills of immediate use in clinical practice.

Osteoarticular in Vietnam

The two official launch events – attended by around 1,000 people in person and online – were held on 6 December in Hanoi and 7 December in Ho Chi Minh City and provided important opportunities to discuss product features and the latest clinical evidence. The intervention of Dr. Stefano GuerrasioOrthopaedic Surgeon at the Orthopaedics and Traumatology Unit and Professor of Anatomy at the University of Milan Bicocca (Italy) – enriched the scientific sessions, facilitating an in-depth discussion on the therapeutic solutions proposed.

A PROGRAMME CENTRED ON THE INDIVIDUAL

IBSA's expansion into the osteoarticular sector in Vietnam is part of a broader global development strategy. The company's solid distribution network, a strategic pillar of its business, guarantees continuity, accessibility and quality, while enhancing the specific characteristics of each market.

The person always remains at the centre of this process: offering valid solutions, with continuous support, means responding to a real need for individual and collective health. This commitment guides the company in every new initiative, from international expansion to training projects shared with scientific communities.
